By reading through the method they went through, the results that were concluded and the discussion I found out that they were wasn 't significant evidence to support the claim that physical fitness improves mental illness. ‘Meta-analytical analysis on the replication of the single experiments showed that the null hypothesis that fitness training is not effective in reducing depression and improving physical well-being could not be rejected.’
There is generalisation toward the results as each set of results were consistently similar.
Due to self- reported measures from the patients with depression who are doing fitness as a treatment component, it was inconclusive as to whether fitness training was effective in the reduction of depression and physical well-being in depressed patients.
