Hand Muscle Analysis

Several minutes later, we begin to relax hand muscles. We transfer our full atten- tion to the right arm and imagine it is heavy, very heavy. We focus on our fingers and "summon” them one by one. We summon the index finger and then we move it. Then we do the same with the middle finger, the ring finger, the little finger, and, finally, the thumb. We summon each finger individually and then we move it. After this, we slowly direct our attention upwards, to the hand, the wrist, the forearm, the elbow, the upper arm and the shoulder. We stay focused on the shoulder for at least one minute.
Then we repeat all this with the left arm.
Then we start relaxing our legs. We start with the right leg, but we do not have to focus on each finger
