Answer all questions given What kind of relationship did you see in your D vs T graphs (both hand and computer)? Do these relationships make sense? Explain!
In the distance versus time graph for the hand graph, there is an exponential increase the in the distance traveled; as time progresses, the distance the car travels increases a little more, as the slope is not a straight line, but instead slopes upwards, with slopes later in the line being steeper than the slopes before. What does the slope of a V vs T graph tell you? How do you know?
The slope of the velocity versus time graph shows how as time passes, the velocity either increases or decrease or stays the same. This would also be called the acceleration of the object, which makes sense, given that slope is the delta y (velocity, cm/s) divided by delta

Bad timing may have been the cause for inconsistent calculations for velocity and acceleration, since the distance traveled remains constant and using a longer or shorter time than actually used will cause the acceleration to be slower or faster than it actually is. There was some variance in the way that the car started down the ramp, with either the front end of the car a little ahead of the starting distance or behind, which would have affected the distance traveled by the car. Since the initial dots had to be counted for the calculations in the lab and could not be ignored, its likely any delay between turning on the ticker timer and releasing the car could have affected the results, making it seem the car is accelerating faster when in reality the car was not really moving for those first few seconds. Identifying the first dot created by the ticker timer and lining it up with the ruler for accurate displacement measurements for each interval was an

Also, using the angle of the ramp (2.0 degrees), the acceleration can be calculated using the formula of a = gsin.
