People who break the law can face consequences such as have to go before a judge who then has powers to imprison people for breaking the laws. This all depends on which law they have broken and to what extent.

Laws should be followed to allow everyone to live in a free world, and not live in fear that there property could be stolen or damaged, or friends and family could be injured or killed.
