Inferiority, Industry versus inferiority is the fourth stage of Erik Erikson's theory. This stage occurs during childhood between the ages of five and twelve. Children at this stage will learn to read and write to do things on their own. That’s when teachers begin to take important roles in the Childs life as they teach a child specific skills. Identity vs. Role Confusion. The fifth stage is identity vs. role confusion, and this occurs during adolescence (a person developing from a child to an adult) from 12-18 years. During her life she experience things that not only could have effect her childhood growing up but also turned her in a direction where it could have been bad. For example, the attention, love and support her family gave her, if she didn’t have the attention and care that her grandma and mom showed her, would the 8 stages of development still apply? Or if her father didn’t do her basic needs as far as making sure she eat, clean her up, and fix her car, would she have came out the same way? My guess is no. during my life time of adolescence and childhood I’ve experience Erickson theory by 1, experiencing elementary school being young and playing with no care in the world and not knowing much about the environment around me other then the people I wanted to be around. 2, high school, when entering high school it gave me a whole different feel of maturity, by this time I wanted to build relation with friends and the outside world. 3, lastly college, being in college now made me feel more like an adult, gave me a sense of responsibly, knowledge and understand of everything around
