INTRODUCTION

Situation Analysis It has always been a universal truth that academic achievement or (academic) performance is the outcome of education — the extent to which a student, teacher or institution has achieved their educational goals. When people hear about this term “academic performance” they often think of a person’s General Point Average (GPA).
In some instances, one the other hand, several factors indicate a student’s academic success especially in the junior high school when students become mature and get influenced by their environment for their holistic development.
Speaking of holistic development, one must have the opportunity to develop intellectually, personally, and socially, and so it is imperative to

The school counselor’s first professional responsibility is to the students. The educational, academic, career, personal, and social needs of all students within the school setting, from Kindergarten to Grade 12, are the focus in planning and delivering a developmental, comprehensive guidance and counseling program.
The “RR of R.A. No. 9258” as interpreted and carried out in the light of the Declaration of Policy in Sec. 2, Art. I of R.A. No. 9258, Section 3 defines Guidance and Counseling as a profession that involves the use of an integrated approach to the development of a well-functioning individual primarily by helping him/her to utilize his/her potentials to the fullest and plan his/her present and future in accordance with his/her abilities, interests, and needs. It includes functions such as counseling, psychological testing, (i.e. personality, career, interest, aptitude, mental ability, achievement), learning and study orientation, research, placement, referral and group
