The article relates to the development of group counselors in-training by illustrating the evidence-based practice and a theoretical framework for quantitative research in counseling. The article provided qualitative and quantitative methods that can assist group counselors in-training. Group counselors’ in-training will be able to use qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods which will allow a detailed and comprehensive understanding of the group (Marwood & Hewitt, 2013). As a group counselor in-training, this article was beneficial by highlighting the different techniques that can be used in a group. The article communicated the importance of participants discussing their experiences and values which can stimulate success in the group;
