The article says, “several species of amphibians restrict their activities to home ranges and territoriality is absent among them.” So, researchers started doing research in places like Michigan and New York to test if the absence of territorial behavior is actually true. The results of this study is that the males are territorial during mating season. The researchers noticed and observed the male frogs bring more aggressive during this time by jumping and attacking other competition. Most of the territories were near shore and by artificial shelters made by the frogs. The female’s behavior was the opposite of the males. They would just hangout during the day and at night move to the male’s territory to mate.
