There are many different Greek Goddesses. The original six names are Hera, Aphrodite, Artemis, Athena, Hestia, and Demeter. Some of the non original are Dione, Eris, Gaia, and Hebe. The muses names were Clio, Urania, Melpomene, Thalia, Terpsichore, Calliope, Erato, Polyhymnia, and Euterpe. The muses had all different jobs. Can’t forget about Nyx. Nyx was the greek goddess of the night. There was also a greek goddess and/or Queen of the underworld Persephone. She ruled the underworld with her husband Hades. Persephone was greek goddess Demeter and greek god Zeus's daughter. Hades and Persephone were sometimes included as part of the twelve Olympians, Although in general Hades was excluded, because he resided permanently in the underworld and …show more content…
She is the goddess of women and marriage. Paris the trojan prince earned Hera's hatred by choosing Aphrodite as the most beautiful goddess. Hera was not happy about this.
Aphrodite is the Greek goddess of love, beauty, pleasure, and procreation. She is viewed as the most beautiful goddesses. She's identified with planet Venus, Which means planet Venus is a girl. Zeus married her to Hephaestus who, because of his ugliness and deformity, was not seen as a threat. Aphrodite loved many both gods, such as Ares, and men, such as Anchises. Many lesser beings were said to be children of Aphrodite.
Artemis was one of the most widely venerated of the Ancient Greek deities. Artemis was often described as the daughter of Zeus and Leto, and the twin sister of Apollo.The Arcadians believed she was the daughter of Demeter. So Artemis, Persephone, and hera were sisters and so was Aphrodite.
Athena is the goddess of wisdom, courage, inspiration, civilization, law and justice, mathematics, strength, war strategy, the arts, crafts, and skill in ancient Greek religion and mythology. Which means there is a lot to her name. Her parents were Zeus and Metis. She used to have a city-state named after her Athens. She once again is the daughter of
