Mr. Xuan and his family moved to America in the mid 80’s from Vietnam. He has four children. Xuan is an ambitious man ever since he came to America he had a business plan in mind. Xuan and his children love donuts and they have many experience in baking donuts that they learned from Vietnam. Xuan and his wife started a small business and named it “Granny Donuts”. The business was in their neighborhood in St. Paul MN where they moved. The family had little money they brought from Vietnam they invested it to make more they took a business opportunity and worked hard in the beginning, put effort into their work by working all day long from morning to evening. His wife love to design donuts and make them colorful, different shapes and different flavors.

Xuan’s hard work paid off. The business is running till today 30 years of hard work has made Xuan a successful man with a great business ownership. Leaving home country wasn’t easy at the beginning but starting a small business have helped them make a living and succeed in America. The small amount of money they invested and by time the business was becoming increasingly achievable, gaining a profit, more employees and more supply and demand. The Author Ken P. says, “Hard work increases the probability of serendipity.”. Xuan’s wife still works at the bakery as the store manager, she hires new employees every once a while and train them to keep in track of products, bake, and wash. The business sells cheap products till now the donut prices are range from $0.85 to $2.50 keeping
