About a month ago, I won my first Grammy. I won three Grammys that night for Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Best R&B Album. The night was replete with adventure and you are about to read all about it!
I was at The Beverly Hills Hotel, with my sister, mother, grandmother and best friend. We heard a piercing and wrenching knock on the door, which turned out to be my professional stylist, Jea. In she walked with numerous fashion pieces from designers such as Christian Louboutin, Hubert de Givenchy, Louis Vuitton, Cristobal Balenciaga and more. The clothes were so expensive that while I was trying them on, I treated them as if they were frangible because tearing a Givenchy jacket would cause me to have a lugubrious mood for the remainder …show more content…
Prior to the Grammys we did a song together, so thank God her and I had a camaraderie going on. Moving on with the evening, the metal rock section of the program was going on causing the show to become a litany because metal rock is not my favorite genre. Once that was done, the R&B section came up. At this moment, Beyonce and I became zealous as we anticipated the results of the evening. All of a sudden, I heard “Tim for Album of the Year”. My heart sunk. As I walked to the stage in awe, I grew worried that the production team would establish a moratorium of my acceptance speech as I appeared to be under the influence, when in all actuality I was just in shock. Thank God, my vernacular was already expanded because my speech was very well spoken and just the right amount of time. There was not a soul in the crowd that did not clap, the clapping was ubiquitous. After I won the first award, Beyonce, Chance the Rapper, Rihanna, Kevin Hart and many other celebrities went out to eat and spent the night at Beyonce’s house. I won two others but after the first one, nothing crazy happened. We found an arable spot in her backyard and each celebrity planted a different fruit tree in their name. I planted a cherry
