We fought for equal rights for all men and all women. We started a war within ourselves to promote rights that would remove segregation. We went and moved to show that ladies are more than pretty faces in white laces, corsets, and 20 pound dresses, whose only purpose was to decorate the fireplace and always be composed for a perfect portrait at anytime of day. We fought so we could be who we are and do what we love and love what we want. As our last great president said: “No one in America should ever be afraid to walk down the street holding the hand of someone they love”. That sentence should ring true no matter the type of person. Everyone in this room has come so far and will go
