Welcome to NFV middle school and my name is Kole. Here are some things that I like. I like almost every sport you can think of and hunting. Some advice that I would give is be kind of patient with us because we are kind of a chatty class.…
Throughout reading “Commencement Speech, Kenyon College”, I found this short story very inspiring to read as I found myself doing more research on this essay because I was so interested in it. Reading this once through I got the feeling of more of a pessimistic and lower toned feeling sine suicide is mentioned and reading the bio notes of David Foster Wallace and how he suffered with depression and committing suicide I realized this was more of a final speech of what he wished he could have still in himself. “It’s the matter of my choosing to do the work of show how altering or getting free of my natural, hardwired default-settling” (309) I believe in this statement with my whole heart, to me I believe that I used to get just go through the motions of life and wasn’t really living but recently one of my friends came to me and told me she wanted to kill herself because she didn’t see the point in life and though I don’t know if I ever could get to that point, I told her that every day we would hang out, every day we would make the most of everyday and every day I would remind her why life was so wonderful to live and how lucky we are for this opportunity.…
Hillsborough High School Awards Tracy Jameson Teacher of the Year The title of Hillsborough High School teacher of the year was awarded to Tracy Jameson, a special education and environmental science teacher, on February twelfth due to “her passion as an educator and contagious positive energy,” said Sharon Jacob, a member of Peers Assistant Leadership Students (PALS). “I would describe Ms. Jameson as loving. Someone who is there to support all of your ideas and help with your problems both with life and school. She lights up any room she walks into,” said Matthew Roarty, her former student.…
Good morning on this very special day. I am Ava Pinette a 7th-grader at city school. To start I want to thank you for putting your lives on hold to protect our present and future. It took real bravery to do what you did. All of you could never be thanked enough.…
Specific Purpose: To inform my audience of the opportunities St. Jude Up Til Dawn can offer students that choose to participate in the organization on their campus. Central Idea: St. Jude isn’t all about children suffering in pain, just like Up Til Dawn isn’t all about only raising money. Both offer so much more than just medicine to treat children.…

As I walked into the school of DollyHigh, everyone congratulated me on becoming Valedictorian on the campus. I moved in Dolly about four years ago after my mom and dad got a divorce. Although the divorce done me and my mom bad we both knew we needed to start our own new lives. I remember walking into Dolly high for my freshman year and remembering what it feels like to be known as “The New Kid” or “Fresh Meat”. Look at me now, the Cheer captain of the squad, Valedictorian, and joining in on many clubs to make my collage record look professional.…
I attended the talk with Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor. The talk I found to be very enjoyable as it was informational and not boring. I enjoyed listening to her stories about her grandmother. What really hit home to me is the work she does with afterschool programs. Throughout high school, I was very involved, from sports every season to clubs and being a class officer.…
This week in third grade was very different, it was a short week due to our professional development. Monday was a normal day starting with our spelling unit which I have already taken over. I am still helping the students work through the first day by explaining the skill. This week I asked students to work on day two independently and turn it in when they finished. I was noticing that students were not doing the work and waiting to fill it in until we went over it as a class.…
Many people have qualms about their surname for a multitude of reasons, but I never will. To begin with, I come from a long line of wonderful Renshaws and a legacy to protect. On top of that, I was never supposed to be a Renshaw and I have had to fight to keep it. Furthermore, I am the last Renshaw and if I were to change it, it will disappear forever. My family’s name represents all of the sacrifices they have made and I am honored to bear it.…
I suppose I should explain my issue in more depth tonight. Since I've moved to Oklahoma City about three years ago, I haven't made a single gay friend. I've met acquaintances, sure. I've met people that I've tried and tried again to invite to do things, to be friends with, to see - the same people who I see at events that seem to disrespect or dislike me or my husband, the same people that are completely fake about wanting to be friends or hang out in any larger capacity than seeing what they can take advantage of from us or from me, if they're not trying to sleep with me. Otherwise, it's just people that are only interested in me and us for the fact that we often have the money to cover a night out or a dinner out - and never talk to us otherwise.…
Greetings, Class of 2023. Today, we get to celebrate the culmination of our thirteen years of hard work in school with graduation, and I have been asked to deliver this year’s commencement speech. I would like to thank all of the people that have brought us here: family members, teachers, principals, and people who would go out of their way to encourage us to keep trying hard even in the midst of failure. Without you, we would not be standing on this stage today. I would like to start by defining the word “commencement.”…
We are all gathered here today for the remembrance of Flounder the fish. We remembered him as a friendly fish, he always liked to make people laugh and always had a bright smile on his face. I remember the first time I met him he was the happiest fish i had ever seen. I was having such a bad day. He turned it around and made me forget the bad things that happened to me that day.…
The Speech I knew I would need to start writing my speech at some point, but there were much better things to be doing than homework. The speech had to be about the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Washington, D.C. I had terrible writer's block. The topic and instructions given by my English teacher were vague. I was sure I would never get the speech done.…
