I never would of thought this was going to happen. I thought high school would be easy. I thought that the teachers would just pass you if you showed up and move on. I was doing great in 9th but that’s the easiest year. I started to lay back and chill for most of 10th grade with C’s and one or two F’s. In 11th I stopped caring and didn’t show up for half of my classes and that’s what’s setting me back for 12thgrade. The school was really small. There were about 7 classrooms. I felt like I would be able to pay attention a little better because there were a little number of students in each class. One feature of this school is the ability to work independently. You’ll be able to work on your own without other students holding you back. That’s something I really enjoyed, being able to work at my own pace. Independent work played a huge role in being able to finish classes a lot quicker and being able to transfer back to my old school. All the teachers there were pretty nice and actually help you with your work one on one. After a week of getting used to this new school and schedule, I started to do some work. I was behind a whole semester and needed to make it up in a couple of weeks. While being there I wasn’t completely alone. I knew and met a couple of people the first week. Friends are good thing to have during school so they can make your experience much better. A couple days in I was already close to passing a class. Their system was based on points. If you had a total of 75 points in a class, you would be done and start another. In some cases when you have 60 points, you would need to take a test to finish that
