Grace Hopper

I selected Grace Hopper for my famous mathematician project. I chose this Mathematician because she seemed like an interesting person and I wanted to learn more about her. Grace Hopper was born on December 9, 1906 in New York, New York and she died on January 1, 1992. She died at the age of 85 years old.

Some historical events that happened in the world during Grace Hopper's life were: in 1906 the San Francisco earthquake happened. Also in January of 1933 Hitler started to take over in Germany. Finally Grace Hopper was around to see President Roosevelt be elected also in January of 1933.

Grace Hopper went to New Jersey’s Hartridge from kindergarten through twelfth grade. Right after that she tried to go to Vassar College but she did not get
