INTRODUCTION
ATTENTION GETTER: Have you ever felt intense pain at your joints like you are unable to move your joints because of the severe pain that you felt. That pain is extremely painful especially at the big toe followed by whether your knee, ankle, wrist, finger and elbow. The pain may subside in hours to days but you don’t even know what’s the problem. You might start to notice the warmth and swelling at your joint, followed by reddish discoloration and marked tenderness.

PSYCHOLOGICAL ORIENTATION: This pain is likely to prevent you from doing your usual activities: picnic, morning jog and camping. But how can you prevent it from happening

As of today, I want to talk more about what is causing those symptoms: gout.

BODY
MAIN POINT I : It would be a waste if I’m talking about gout if you don’t understand a thing about it.
A. SUBPOINT : Gout is a common form of arthritis when a person have high level of uric acid in the body, whether their body produces too much of uric acid or their kidneys are inadequate in removing it.
• A person will experiences sudden severe attacks of pain, tenderness, warmth and swelling(inflammation) in some joints or musculoskeleton system.
• The most likely area to be affected is the large toe, but gout can also affects other joints in the leg (knee, ankle and foot) and less likely in the arms(hands, wrist, and elbow).

B. SUBPOINT : The number of cases of gout is increasing year by year and the latest figure of the cases is rather disappointing.
