Have you ever read a comic or any book in general and felt super invested in the story and the characters? That’s basically what Gorillaz have done. Instead having boring old real people seen as the creators of this music, the people behind the band instead created a cast of four characters: Russ, the drummer who is also inhabited with a lot of dead spirits, Noodle, A guitarist that was delivered to the band in a Fedex box and was at one-point replaced with a robot version of herself, Murdoc, the satanist bassist which is responsible for one of 2D’s black eyes, and last but certainly not least, 2D, the main vocalist and victim of a lot of things. While only a small descriptions were given for each character, you can’t stop yourself from wanting to see more. Well, you can easily find out more, whether it be from youtube videos detailing their history, Q&As were they answer questions that range from useful to useless, or interviews with the creators Damon Albarn or Jamie Hewlett, or better yet interviews with the actual characters were they have been made into 3D
