Good Vs. Evil In Rikki-Tavi

The theme is the life lesson or moral of the story. Good vs. evil is the theme of the story “Rikki-Tikki-Tavi” by Rudyard Kipling. The theme is good versus evil since the main battle in the story is Rikki-Tikki and Nagaina. Rikki-Tikki represents the good because he is brave and protective. Nagaina is the evil, whereas she is a bully and is greedy. I can see how people might think “Accepting a challenge leads to positive results” might be the theme, but the theme is clearly good versus evil. Good vs. evil is obviously the theme of “Rikki-Tikki-Tavi,” and Rikki is an excellent example of good. One excellent example that proves Rikki is good is when he protects the family in the story. Another example of good would be the family when they found Rikki-Tikki and brought him in. The protagonist also saved Teddy’s life from Nagaina. Rikki-Tikki did good when he fought and killed all three snakes. Another good deed this family did was let Rikki-Tikki stay at their bungalow, eat whatever he wanted, and they loved him. Nagaina had tried to kill Rikki-Tikki. Another snake that was evil is Kraite. She also ate one of Darzee’s eggs. The antagonist threatened Rikki’s family. Nagaina was determined to get revenge on Rikki-Tikki after she tried to kill him. Another snake that was evil is Kraite.
