I have served in many different capacities to include, but not limited to committee chairperson, school faculty professional developer as well as teacher evaluator. As grade level chair, I facilitate Professional Learning Community (PLC) meetings analyzing data to create specific instruction strategies for students. These responsibilities drew on my strengths of professionalism, creativity, and resourcefulness. Conversely, while I have developed many useful skills that help with my goals, delegation and time management are areas that require growth. My passion and ambition can cause me to take on more than I can handle and my inability to delegate tasks can leave others feeling excluded. This cause me to reflect and find ways to manage time and utilize others for task effectively. I am a member of IRA (International Reading Association), NEA (National Education Association), and ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education) professional associations all of which are used to keep me abreast of current educational trends and issues. Using my findings, I continually develop my competencies in the area of reading and literacy and to assist in tailoring interactions to meet the needs of teachers in my school
