My short term goal is finishing middle school. I would like to get good grades, mostly A’s. But, I can accept a B or two. A few steps that could help me achieve this goal is to focus in class and listen very carefully to the subject that is being taught. Another

My professional goal is to obtain a Walden’s Master of Social Work degree with a specialization in crisis and trauma intervention. In the future, after gaining more knowledge and experience about mental health, I want to create mental health service agencies across the United States that will help the…

Keeping my three personal and professional goals realistic, I would have to say a personal goal is to finish school at SNHU with a 3.0 GPA or above. I think a way for me to accomplish this goal is to stay focused on the tasks at hand, maintain a good relationship with my advisors and to utilize some of the tutoring options that are available to me as a student. Another personal goal is to work on myself, mentally. I cannot be a good mom or wife when I have the stress, anxiety and depression that I do. A way to help accomplish this goal is to not only start speaking with a psychiatrist (first appointment is August 4th) but to also have my thyroid checked.…

If I am able to get into middle school, but looking at my grades, there is a VERY slim chance I will succeed and get there. But, if there is a miracle, these are the things I will change about myself in class. I will try to get my work done because I have many missing assignments at my elementary school, which is causing my horrible grades. I will try to listen more in class because sometimes I do not understand or I just don’t listen to the teachers when they are doing a lesson, and I want to be more interested in classwork and instructions that the teachers put for us when we do something we haven’t really done. Another thing I’d like to improve in at my school before I go over to the 7th grade is to get better at everything we do…

All these characteristics help the therapist from a good alliance with the client. Where the client can feel safe to express their problems to the counselor.
