Glory Movie Accuracy

The movie Glory is about a story within a historical event, which is known as the civil war. In the movie Ada Monroe, the daughter of a Charleston, S.C., preacher man who has moved to the district for his health. The first time she meets Inman, their eyes lock and a deep unspoken communication takes place. Inman, as shy and awkward man, but she has mercy on him, and after he has joined the Confederacy and gone off to fight the war, she realizes she loves him and is willing to wait for his return. The movie has less historical facts when compared to movies like Glory because it focuses more on Ada and Inman during the war. There are several questions one must ask when reviewing this great film. I really liked this film because it was a lover story with a history story so it kept my attention throughout.
The being scene was a brutal fight, first thing the Union bombs the Confederacy the make their attack. This first scene leaves hundreds of soldiers wounded and or killed. …show more content…
He survives and makes it home to Ada were they marry themselves and make love in a cabin while going to get Ruby’s dad. The next dad on their way back to Ada’s home Teague and his fellow men stop her and Ruby because they found out that they had helped escapees, which was punishable. At they same time Inman is right behind them with Ruby’s father on his horse and that is when a shooting match gets started and although Inman shot someone he was stop also and he died himself. The ending was so tragic when Inman was killed I cried so much but it was good to know that Ada had his child and Ruby and her new family was there to keep her company. I focused more on Inman’s death because I wanted him and Ada to live together especially since he survived the war and died the second day he got killed.
