The Renaissance was a period of artistic and literary achievement in Europe between the late fourteenth and early seventeenth centuries. Someone I found interesting was Giotto di Bondone. He painted realistic people in natural-looking settings. His subjects exposed recognizable human emotions and seemed to live through the canvas. Giotto is often addressed as the pathbreaker for Renaissance painting because he loved nature and the human form in his paintings. To see his art-work would be such a heartwarming experience. His paintings are painted with so much love and thought.
