Germany, one of the great powers of the industrial world, rose from very small states. Germany is in central Europe, bordering the North Sea and the Baltic Sea between the Netherlands and Poland, south of Denmark. There was an East and a west Germany until the two republics unified and signed a treaty on October 3, 1990.
Geography
Germany is Western Europe's richest and most popular nation, it remains a key member of the continent's economic, political, and defense organizations. Germany has a total of 356,910 square kilometers of land and 2,389 kilometers of coastline.
Natural Resources Germany's natural resources include: iron ore, coal, potash, timber, lignite, uranium, copper, natural gas, salt, nickel, and arable land. Germany's

German Culture varies from region to region showing diversity the way its people think. Germany has a rich culture built upon a foundation of Art, Literature, Sports, Food, and Music. The culture itself has had many transformations in recent history. Food, beer and soccer are what comes' to mind with German culture. Germany has all sort of different breads, with over 600 different types. Sausage making has a long tradition, having more than 100 different regional variants. Germans usually eat a large breakfast traditionally consisting of breads, cheese, cold cuts, and jams. Lunch would be traditionally the only warm meal in the day consisting of meats, potatoes, salads and soups; however, this may vary in different regions. While there are, many sports played in Germany one sport stands out above all others and is the most popular, which is Soccer. Everyone knows Soccer is one of the most watched sports all over the world, and Germany is no exception. In Germany fans are some of the most enthusiastic and loyal fans in the sports world. Soccer brings the country together in support of the national team. Events such as the Euro Cup and the World Cup bind the people as one with their flag. They organize and follow the team to such events no matter the distance, wearing their national colors with pride. Another sport famous in Germany is auto racing. Germany has several automakers that compete in the racing world such as BWM, Porsche, and Mercedes. Germany with their high-speed autobahns allows the German people to race on the streets of the autobahn where speeds of two hundred plus miles per hour are seen on a daily
