Greatness is defined as a status an individual receives for being a difference maker in their society and contributing for a purpose greater than themselves. This term is how George H.W. Bush should be known as. This iconic historical figure began his journey in Massachusetts on June 12, 1924. His parents, Prescott Sheldon Bush and Dorothy Bush raised him to be the fine man that would later serve our country. After the attack on Pearl Harbor, he enlisted into the Navy and became the youngest aviator to fly during the time. Once the war had concluded, he attended Yale University and became an oil company founder. This involved him in politics and he soon became a member of the House of Representatives and Director of Central Intelligence. He was also the director of the CIA and Vice President for many years. These positions qualified him to become one of our past presidents and guide our beautiful country. George H.W. …show more content…
Bush is defined as a great leader because of his long career in domestic and foreign affairs enabling to make calm and noble decisions during a new era, and knowledge surrounding creating policies that would benefit our country
