George Orwell's Animal Farm: Boxer

Improved Essays
For my first choice I decided on Boxer from the Animal Farm. (Book) Boxer is a very hardworking and dedicated character from the animal farm. Boxer is a very loyal and dedicated citizen in his community or farm. Boxer usually worries about people other than himself. He is a very helpful character in his community and does his best to help all. On the other hand, boxer is quite a naive person. Meaning he does not have much actual experience other than helping others animals on the farm. Although his intellect is very low, which is one thing we do not have in common. (I am a pretty humble person here, but I’m just going to mention that.) Since I'm honestly not that old (11) I don't really know exactly what life is. I still having yet many things …show more content…
(movie) Flounder is a very caring and reliable friend. Flounder is someone who will always be by your side through the ups and downs. This is a trait we have in common. I’m the mom friend in my group, meaning whether it’s to drag my friends out of trouble, help them with their work, or cheer them up. I’ll always be there for them. I am often uneasy about them doing certain things whether it’s a good idea or not. I’m not much of the adventurous type. Flounder is a coward if I’m going to be honest so that is a strong trait that reflects my personality. I am unfortunately not the brave type. Even after all this flounder still goes on many missions with ariel. I wouldn’t like to repeat traits but again, flounder is loyal and dedicated to ariel as a friend .As I mentioned in the first one. Their bond is unbreakable and very strong which is the same situation with someone that is very dear to me.

Now we move on to my last character, which is also my third choice. This response is a bit shorter since I haven’t actually watched hamilton or any plays which I would really like to do . I chose eliza hamilton for my last character. Just like eliza I’m able to control my emotions at the appropriate time. Eliza is also a very forgiving person, I deal with the same situation since I believe in second chances under certain circumstances, but I have a bad habit of holding grudges towards

“One Last Swirl Around the Fish Bowl by Dan Barry” (April 3, 2009) is an essay written about the similarities between a fish dying to the death of your loved ones. It starts off about how he lets his daughters purchase a fish, over time the fish starts to slowly grow weaker and weaker to the point of preparing its fish funeral. Boxer is a loyal, strong horse who doesn’t question the leaders or government. He doesn’t complain, is constantly working, and is an optimist. “He had been a hard worker even in Jones’s time, but now he seemed more like three horses than one” (pg.29). On the other hand, Benjamin is a cynic, pessimistic donkey. He watches what is happening, but doesn’t get caught up in it.…

Susan Smith from the War That Saved My Life is my favorite literary protagonist because she worked hard to provide a good life for the children and she saved the kids from a life of danger, risked her own life for the kids, and wasn't the cookie cutter mold for an ideal person because her flaws were shown and how much she needed the kids just as much they needed her. Susan Smith is my favorite literary protagonist because she worked hard to provide a good life for the kids. Susan made a conscious effort to raise the children, even though she had no experience and had originally been forced into doing it. She used her money to buy the kids food and clothes and worked extremely hard to educate the kids, especially Ada because they refused to let her into school.…

There are many characters that you could pick apart and compare yourself to in this story, but an intriguing character that I am both similar and different to is Clarisse. She is very curious and opinionated like I am on a daily basis. Clarisse was never fearful to speak her mind and ironically enough, this might have led to her downfall. One trait I admire her for is being a dreamer and an idealist. Based on her actions and speech, you might conclude that she was a happy, curious soul because she or her family read books.…

When a person is no longer able to work on behalf of the their community in the modern world, whether it be from old age, injury, or any other miscellaneous reason, they are generally regarded highly and and looked up to greatly by the general public. However, in two of George Orwell’s most famous novels, that simply is not the case; instead, even the most loyal and devoted citizens will be deemed worthless if they are unable to continue serving their government. Animal Farm tells the story of a group of animals who commandeer a farm after being horribly mistreated by the farmer. However, soon after taking control of the situation, three pigs rise to the top to become the official leaders and shape the community into a totalitarian dictatorship. Boxer is one of the farm’s hardest workers and has a strong, if misguided, belief that the pigs will help Animal Farm to thrive.…

His loyalty to the farm, and to Napoleon, is his driving force to always work hard. It is unclear as to why he displays a strong sense of loyalty to the farm and Napoleon, but the author describes Boxer to be unable to think of himself. “Their most faithful disciples were the two cart-horses, Boxer and Clover. These two had great difficulty in thinking anything out for themselves, but having once accepted the pigs as their teachers, they absorbed everything that they were told, and passed it on to the other animals by simple arguments.” Boxer had a sense of loyalty to the pigs to persuade the other animals of the benefits of Animalism.…

I really am not a fan of people comparing me to others, but when I think of fictional characters that remind me of me, a few come to mind. When I think of my personality, I think of humor and a loving person who is hardworking. I really don't like being compared to people because I feel I am one-of-a-kind and don't believe anyone is like me. Despite when speaking of fictional characters who are most like me, I believe three come to mind these three characters represent me as a person in different ways. The three fictional characters that most represent my personality are Stitch from Lilo and Stitch for his hard working and outgoing personality, Roger for his wisdom and understanding, and Stewie for his intelligence and humor but also caring for his family.…
