To begin, the first element in human disturbance is threat and it occurs when an individual perceives that their basic constructs which are stable are being upset. This can occur by either a person or an event entering into our space leaving us to feel unsafe in any way. The second element fear occurs when an individual responds in an abnormal way from a specific circumstance. The third element is anxiety which is something that worries an individual. The fourth element in human disturbance is guilt which is an awareness of when an individual has done something wrong.
When dealing with the element of a threat, an individual is left shaken due to unfamiliarity in situation involving another individual or simply by being in an unfamiliar place which leaves the individual feeling unsafe. This can occur when something happens which is out of the norm for the individual which leaves them feeling uncertain of those things which previously felt comfortable.
