Decent Essays
Geography is destiny because of geography most of these wars happened and without geography we wouldn’t be the America we are right now. Geography has caused different commotions to happen for example wars and disagreements. The unique geography has caused war since settlers who were from the Ohio and Mississippi Valley intruded the Native Americans since they were really close to each other so they fought each other and this war was called the Battle of Tippecanoe Creek. When Andrew Jackson was sent to chase raiding seminoles into Florida he instead went to Spain and launched an attack. Later on America took even more land from other.countries because the geography made it that these other places ex. Florida were really close with each other

The South strikes back with calls for expansion due to the belief “they were daily threatened…

This concept was the justification for westward expansion and was the cause of multiple conflicts between indigenous people and other countries. Contrary to the common belief towards war at the time, Gandhi once commented, “I object to violence because when it appears to do good, the good is only temporary, the evil it does is permanent.” Gandhi alludes that violence is not the answer to conflicts. Though war may seem to be for a just cause in the short term, it only encourages violence in the future and eventually leads to permanent negative consequences. From 1914 to 1918, World War I demonstrated the unfortunate repercussions of warfare that began when Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia. This seemingly insignificant conflict soon spread rapidly and eventually Russia, France, Great Britain, and Germany were all drawn into the war, predominantly because of their involvement…

World War Two broke out in the Middle East soon after conflict arose in Europe during the Fall of 1939. The main theater of war in the Middle East was the Western Desert that buffered Italian Libya and British Egypt. Conflict also arose with rebellion in Iraq as consequence of growing western resentment, and in Syria and Lebanon after French defeat and capitulation to the Nazis. After Britain lost its longtime ally, France, they were left standing alone in the Middle East as the last defense against Nazi and Italian fascism, and struggled to prevent the takeover of the Suez Canal in Egypt and a loss of access to British India as a result.
