According to Jiang and Yang, critical thinking is defined as, “purposeful, self-regulatory judgment, leading to interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and inference, as well as explanation of the evidential, conceptual, methodological, criteriological, or contextual considerations upon which that judgment is based (Jiang & Yang, 2015).” With critical thinking one can problem solve despite the limited resources they may be given. Organizational skills of a generalist practitioner need to possess time management skills and open communication in order to assist clients in the best way possible. According to Leigh and Helen, “Barriers to communication such as a lack of appropriate resources, communication supports or staff knowledge and skills can reduce the individual’s success in interactions (Leigh and Helen, 2014).”Flexibility with my own schedule as well as when crises may arise are important. “Evidence suggests that flexibility of work schedule, in particular, contributes to valuable organizational outcomes such as productivity, absenteeism, and job satisfaction” There will be times during my professional career where I will need to make my schedule flexible enough to where I can be available for my clients just in case an emergency may …show more content…
