It was back and forth for a while. My guidance counselor would call me down to his office to discuss the idea that my high school was going to cut the AP chemistry class for the following year and I had to pick a new science class for my junior year. When I asked why he told me that there were only eleven people signed up for the class and that they wanted fifteen to keep it open. Reflection on Book Title “The Leader, The Teacher & You” I share the same sentiment with the author that “Walk the ground!” is essential for a leader to earn respect from the ground. Walking the ground also requires social competency skills such as being able to “communicate to influence” and having “interpersonal effectiveness”. In future, I will apply this principle of “Walk the ground!” by constantly engaging my superiors, peers and subordinates for their guidance and opinions through cohesion and feedback sessions on how various tasks can be done more effectively and efficiently.
