Gender stereotypes, as well as the relationship between gender and language have been an object of great interest for the general public and researchers in the field of sociolinguistics for a long time. Gender stereotypes are represented in generalizations about female and male roles. These generalizations are neither positive nor negative, but inaccurate in providing female and male realities. The stereotypes are oversimplified and cannot describe the attributes of every person/gender.
This paper's main contention is comparison of phrases a real man/ a real woman and their meaning. This work presents a useful new framework for exploring differences in the perception patterns of real men and women.

In this case critical discourse analysis (CDA) examines language’s input into social reproduction and social change (Talbot, 1998:149). According to Talbot there are several purposes of CDA. Firstly, stimulation of critical awareness of language, in other words, doing things that are accepted and are used in the ‘common sense’ (woman-mother, man- earner). Secondly, CDA assumes that gender is not fixed but dynamic. The important part of our identity is to take gender for granted and avoid polarization. b) Domestic behaviours — Caring for children is often considered best done by women, while household repairs are often considered best done by men.
c) Occupations —Until very recently most nurses and secretaries were usually women, and most doctors and construction workers were usually men.
d) Physical appearance — Women are expected to be small and graceful, while men are expected to be tall and broad-shouldered.
Interestingly, gender stereotypes and their perception can change over time. Here can be mentioned as an example a handsome woman and a beautiful man, terms that are not really appropriate for describing a female or a male. A handsome woman means a tall, well build woman, who not only looks like a man but has some masculine traits and behaviour, namely desire for power and earning money
