Firstly, introducing a whole gender as plainly arrogant with minimum intelligence is unfair. Many of their commercials express this by having a shirtless man showing off his sculpted body while talking in an obnoxious tone. For example Terry Crews, a known actor and former football player, in multiple commercials basically describes the products by yelling while flexing his chest. He says things like “Get shaved in the face! I did!” in the commercial which supports give men being viewed as not very intelligent (Old Spice). Another series of commercials from “Old Spice” showcasing Isaiah Mustafa expresses that to be a man you need to follow the so called ways of a man. The ad explains in their terms that this means that instead of using a lady-like fragrance you need to use “Old Spice”. Though in general men shouldn’t have to go along with the orthodox tradition of following his friends’ ideas, “Why can’t they be their own person?” Besides this it is also mentioned that following others leads to your success and you becoming a winner as a
