As a not so much young child but still a young daughter, Cisneros felt as if her father did not care about what she wanted to do with her life. Due to this unsatisfactory performance from her father, she was able to use all her thoughts of not being seen as nothing more but a school teacher from her father and channel it into a work of art. At the end, she saw her father for the first time in years and gave him one of her writings to read. At that moment, after her father read her work and acknowledged the parts that should have a certain reaction, she finally felt that she was good in the eyes of her father when he asked if there were any more copies for the rest of the
