The examples that the author uses are somewhat true, but not all the way true. From what I’ve observed not all men walk in to a room with their chest poke out, and nit all women look at other people and smile at someone they don’t know. At the same time How are these categories constructed? How are they maintained? And what do these categories reveal about important configurations of power in American society? I feel like these categories are made by people that are stereotypical and judgmental.
