The Gatorade Powerbar commercial creatively persuades young athletes to purchase the product through the use of several motivational aspects and influential athletes. To begin, the powerbar commercial by Gatorade connects to the athletes by including two main aspects, which persuade the audience into buying the product. To start, The popular song, “All of the lights”, by Rihanna sung by the athletes intrigues the audience and catches their attention. The commercial commences with a male athlete sitting in a locker room. He begins to sing the Rihanna song as the athlete enthusiastically consumes the product. As the commercial goes on, the scenes switch to different athletes continuing the song. After hearing this familiar song, the audience will connect with both the commercial and the product, and will buy the Gatorade powerbar. …show more content…
The incorporation of an energetic song motivates an audience to be the best they can be by using the product. In addition to an inspirational song, the Gatorade Powerbar commercial also includes a spirited phrase at the end of the ad, to explain to the audience why they should buy the product. The words spoken are “Never let hunger get in the way of your game!”. This phrase was incorporated to clarify how the product is useful. For instance, the quote tells the viewers that the powerbar will eliminate hunger and provide more energy so one’s sporting event could be played without worry of hunger and tiredness. The benefit of the enthusiastic phrase was to explain to readers the perks of the Gatorade powerbar commercial.
