The acquisition and spending on the IT assets for the project via the PROC Manager without a proper tendering process could lead to a budget overrun putting the entire project at risk due to the lack of necessary IT assets for the project. This is because a tendering process ensures that the bidding companies or manufacturers of the relevant IT assets would offer their products to us at a competitive price to ensure that we buy all the required IT assets in a bulk from them hence ensuring they obtain a profit even though the prices offered to us is lower than the usual prices that their products would sell for. By directly dealing with the suppliers, the prices offered to us will definitely be way higher compared to prices offered by the manufacturers of the IT assets and we lose the chance to negotiate. The tendering process will provide the process manager with the opportunity to compare the prices of the IT assets from multiple companies and select the most reasonable option ensuring that the amount paid for will be well within the budget allocated to purchase the required IT assets. Besides, buying in bulks from one particular manufacturer alone usually enables us to get a discount from

The adjustments into a new bid should be established through a comparison of complexity and composition, clear differences, as well as location and escalation data. BP was having a problem with the amount of contractors they were employing and the amount of money that was being funneled to these contractors. The extent in which BP was relying on contractors caused them to lose control over the projects that the contractors were completing. This in demonstrated with the company not even having a number of how many contractors they had employed, to the point where they had to stop counting (O 'Brien & Marakas, 2013). Having too many contractors puts projects out of the view of managers which can cause problems if the project goes overdue or over budget.
