Word. Salary *All most people care about is money, and their salary. If anyone goes into game design, then the salary is actually pretty good!* The salary for game design is $58,253 per year. Although that is based on a worker with less than 20 years of experience. As for the training to get that income, you have to have a college degree so you can be hired. To make a video game, you have to know your level of making a game. It takes hard work and innovation to make a video game. Everyone must know, making a video game, is hard, do not expect it to be easy. The creator of the game must know what they are making before they spend money on it. Know the length, and know your budget to make the game.

*There are many programs for game design, and many of them are used by game designers today.* (And, But, Or) One great for pixel animation is Aseprite, and it works great. It also works for backgrounds and foregrounds. Another good one is FBX, because if you have to transfer a file from somewhere to where you are working, then you can just use this software. For RPGs, some game designers use RPG Maker VX program. It works pretty well, not the best, but very decent. Mudbox helps make concept designs and creates a game ready assessment.
