Galileo Galilei is a mathematician, astronomer, and a book publisher. Galileo Galilei was born on February 15, 1564, Pisa Florence Italy. Galileo Galilei was the first child in his family of six, and his parents being Vincenzo Galilei, a famous music theorist and musician, and his mother Giulia Ammannati. In 1583 he, went to the University of Pisa to study medicine. Galileo Galilei got an ego about his job, and his criticism of Aristotle left him abandoned by his colleagues. Galileo Galilei was then fired from the University of Pisa. It did not take him long to go looking for a new job, and began working at the University of Padua, teaching math, astronomy, and mechanics. His father later died in 1591, leaving him responsible for to care for his younger brother Michelangelo. These discoveries brought him more money and recognition.
