One of her greatest accomplishments is the fact that she is considered one of the most famous women in America. As a teenager she was awarded Miss Black of Nashville and Miss Tennessee. She is also in the television hall of fame. In the article titled Oprah Gail Winfrey it said “Oprah is considered one of America's most influential people”. She is still a T. V show hostess and has her own television channel (Oprah Gail Winfrey).
History will remember Oprah Winfrey through her contributions to society such as opening public libraries and protecting children. We will remember her as someone who influenced so many people because she gave half of her week's salary to a local orphanage, she opened public libraries and helped protect children.
