Own it.” Oprah Winfrey once said. Oprah is such an inspiration around the world because she has a painful childhood, a strong comeback, and an incredible finish. Oprah Gail Winfrey was born on the day of January 29 1954, in the city of Kosciusko, Mississippi. She was born to Vernon Winfrey and Vernita (unknown). Her parents were never married. Soon after Oprah was born, her parents split up and left her in the care of her grandmother. Her grandmother taught her how to read at two and a half years old. One of her greatest accomplishments is the fact that she is considered one of the most famous women in America. As a teenager she was awarded Miss Black of Nashville and Miss Tennessee. She is also in the television hall of fame. In the article titled Oprah Gail Winfrey it said “Oprah is considered one of America's most influential people”. She is still a T. V show hostess and has her own television channel (Oprah Gail Winfrey).
History will remember Oprah Winfrey through her contributions to society such as opening public libraries and protecting children. We will remember her as someone who influenced so many people because she gave half of her week's salary to a local orphanage, she opened public libraries and helped protect children. She proposed the idea of federal child protection. Oprah has and continues to inspire people worldwide (Oprah Gail Winfrey).
Oprah Winfrey is such an inspiration around the world because she has a painful childhood, a strong comeback and an incredible finish. People can learn so much from her.
