XIV The plan is coming together. I believe that I now know what to do about the ever looming problem of the others. The others that have lost what is now so important to my life. The words of individualism. The word "I". The word that is now so sacred to Gaea and I. The word that has been lost since The Unmentionable Times. I am planning the journey back to The City from which I have not been back to in over three years. I wonder how much has changed since I have escaped with my beloved Gaea. Probably not very much now that I have learned The Truth. The Truth that has been shown to me by a combination of my books and my mind. The Truth that The City tries to keep those poor people innocent and ignorant to the lack of progress that should …show more content…
It stains anything it touches in a bright, vibrant blue color. I will be using this to mark the trees and rocks on my way to The City. The way back to The City seemed to go by so much faster than the trip out of The City with Gaea. I arrived on the outskirts of The City within two days of travel. I have used so few of my supplies that I'm sure that the trip back will be easy. Under the cover of darkness, I made my way back into The City. The streets seemed so strange underneath my feet again. The buildings are more bland than I remember being only brown and grey. As I made my way into the Home of the Street Sweepers, I noticed that International and was not in his bed. Where else could he possibly be? Then I remembered that he too knew about the tunnel. The tunnel from The Unmentionable Times. I made my way to the tunnel and found him smashing away at the rock that was at one end of the tunnel. He too was trying to escape the grip of The City. As he saw me, he rushed to me and gave me a hug. He said, " We thought that you were dead …show more content…
Before we knew it, we were getting chased down by half of The City. We ran into the Home of The Peasants and took Unity with us. We then sprinted into the shadows and protection of the Uncharted Forest where we knew that the people would not follow because of the fear of danger. We followed the markers all the way back to the mountain where we soon began work on a home that would house International and Unity. International and Unity both thought of new names form themselves to discard their old names from the Old Ways of The City. International chose to be called Helios for he discovered a new way to create fires and produce electricity with the sun. Unity chose to be called Eos for her like Gaea is giving birth to the new "dawn" of the

During the early 1900’s, brand new ideas were coming about, and the economy was growing for the powerful people. “Much of this revolution in morals and manners has to do with the subtle but steady pull of economic and demographic forces” (Zeitz 29). People from all over the states were moving from suburbs to cities.…

, so I made my way underneath the arena. There is a maze of stone tunnels and chambers, and echoing down the halls I can hear the roars and growls of numerous beasts, one of which I will fight and kill. There are about nine tall, and muscular men (all wearing full armor that is made of metal huddled together forming a strategy on how they will fight together against another group. “Mevia, you will be last to fight. Oh, and make sure you make yourself look better before you come in, the audience would rather have a pretty gladiator.”…

It’s always hard to tell how old manga/anime characters are, but I’m betting he joined the Marines in his late teens or early twenties. And seeing as how Garp is probably in his mid seventies, that means Garp has been a Marine for about fifty years. And even when he first adopted Ace, he’d been a Marine for around 30 years. We all know the Marines and the World Government are full of corruption, but they’re still the greatest force for stability in the world. How many comrades and friends of Garp do you think have been killed in his lifetime?…

Within Ursula Le Guin’s “The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas”, the narrator struggles to create a world which is both believable to the reader and utopian, until she eventually gives up and brings evil into her storyworld as a last-ditch attempt to make her reader believe in the world she has created. This is a representation of the way in which balance and layering is crucial to a storyworld, not only between the good and the evil, but also throughout other elements such as the old and the new, or the virtuous and that which lacks of virtue. Without these contradictory elements, Omelas would not be able to function as a balanced storyworld, and, arguably, no storyworld would. Omelas is shown within the text as a world which combines traditions of the past and technology of the future.…

My mother, along with her entire family, was born in Honduras and moved to the United States when she was a teen.…

Walking along the gravel path in the woods makes you realize how intricate the clash between weather and nature can be. Two natural forces both in harmony and constantly fighting. My most valuable possession was my house. It wasn’t anything fancy or exquisite, but it was there that I had spent the precious moments, however few, with my beloved dad. I remember that we would spend hours playing, running around the arched, brightly lit corridors. On either side, I recall the large mahogany doors which would fluidly open to reveal ancient, chestnut-brown rooms with antique, twin bed frames which were confined within. I will never forget the uncanny gargoyles that were suspended onto the wall behind, the very same monsters who would assault my sleep and curse me with countless numbers of sleepless nights.…
