Which sparked violent protests all over the country. Freddie Grey was arrested and thrown into the back of a cop car and later went into a coma and passed away from injuries sustained in his arrest. This sparked the violent protests in Baltimore (Fox News). Michael Brown was killed in Ferguson, Missouri. Brown was shot in the back by an officer while fleeing from him. Later it was revealed that Brown was unarmed, and to matters worse his body laid in the street for hours without anything to cover it up. This sparked one of the largest racial protests that this country has seen in years(CNN). Both are unfortunate situations that let us talk about the elephant in the room. Social injustice has been an understated issue in America for the last 200 years. Until recently with issues similar to the on referred to in the movie, we as americans have shed a blind eye to racism and injustice to not just black people but to ethnicity. The only way Together we need to listen more to make our country a place that all want to live and be happy. We need to teach our kids better than our last. Everyone can make a difference just by using their voice and educating others on the sad reality that our country has found itself in. We cannot look away we need to focus on this issues that still exist in our country, we need to work together to make our country a home for
