Frisbee Golf “Hey Savanna, when you get time would you come over here for a minute?”
I heard Jake call from the front office while I was making a greasy “pepperoni lover’s” pizza. “Yeah just a second I’ll be right there.” I answered back, feeling a tiny jolt in my stomach. I had just started working maybe a couple months max, and I was still stepping lightly because I didn’t want to disturb the way anyone did his or her own jobs. Jake was a driver, but tonight he was managing because my boss’s son was sick. I carefully placed the now heavy pizza onto the conveyor belt that brought the pizzas through the oven. To kind of stall the conversation that was about to happen, I thoroughly cleaned where I had just made the pizza. I gathered the courage

I look at the smooth blue-gray floor tiles trying to think of an excuse.
“I work that day, sorry” I sort of stuttered. Flustered by the sudden offer to join their plans. I did have to work that day, but not until 3 or 3:30, but they didn’t need to know that.
“Oh don’t worry I can convince Rick to let you take that day off” She boasted. I obviously wasn’t going to get out of this. She was a mule when it came to making plans I soon realized. I was going Frisbee golfing with 4 co-workers I didn’t really know, great. Then it was Saturday. The plan was to go to a course in St. Augusta and play for a couple hours, so it couldn’t be too bad. The course was in the woods so of course the smell of the mud, dirt and worms left from the rain on Friday overwhelmed me. After a couple holes we decides to go back to St. Joe and play the easier course there. As we were driving it was like an out of body experience for me.
