In the book “Anthem” the main character Equity explained what freedom means to him, a person's ability to be alone to do what they want. Rand wanted freedom and she showed it perfectly through writing “Anthem”. Writing the book “Anthem” showed a huge part of her cultural identity, in contempt of the hardship she faced, Rand still had anticipation all the way to the end.
