Smoothies:
Don’t have time for a sit-down breakfast? No problem! – a smoothie is the way to go! All you need is a simple blender or Magic Bullet.
Pair your smoothie with a good home-made muesli or a nutrition-packed granola bar and you are ready to go.
Smoothies are a fast and easy way to incorporate at least 3 servings of fruit into your diet, without much effort.
Use a different combination of fruit each day, and experiment until you find your ideal mixes.
Smoothies and fresh, refreshing juices are ideal choices for busy people. Forget convenience drinks and store-bought juices; done right, homemade smoothies and fresh juices are packed with nutrients.
Stock up on fresh berries in the summer, and freeze them for the cooler times of year, then pair with the milk of your choice (soy, almond, rice, coconut) to make delicious dairy-free shakes. Better yet, use naturally creamy bananas to give body and texture to your smoothies. Bonus: they’re naturally sweet, and offset tart or bitter fruits and veggies perfectly. When you have over-ripe bananas, peel and freeze them in a zip lock bags for making smoothies.

Notes:
Health Canada recommends a minimum of 7-10 fresh fruits and vegetables daily for adults 19 and older. Men between 19 and 50 should have at least 8-10 servings, while women 19-50 should have 7-8 helpings. Older adults should have 7 servings.
What about kids? Children 2-3 should have 4 servings, 4-8 should have 5, and 9-13 should have 6 servings. Natural fruit is definitely better than the sugary
