Decent Essays
The FITT principle stands for Frequency, Intensity, Time, and Type. This is essential for exercise, a set of guidelines that help set a workout routine to be safe, to fit your goals, and to fit your fitness level.
Frequency refers to how often you will exercise. Setting the frequency of the exercise is important for providing enough stress for the body to adapt and also allows rest time so your body can heal.
Intensity is the amount of effort or work put into a workout. This is used so that it prevents overtraining or an injury, but enough to overload the body.
Time is how long each session should last. This will vary based on the intensity and type.
Type is what type of exercise you will be doing. Like if it is cardiovascular, resistance

Fitness and Goal Setting Knowledge Fitness and goal setting have been the main topic of conversation in this class. Whether we need to work on legs or arms today, or what we are going to do in the future. I learned that it is better to do quantity over quality when it comes to fitness workouts, and that it is always important to stretch and warm up your muscles before a workout to ensure you do not strain any muscles. When reaching towards a goal, you cannot just make it in one try…
