Freak The Mighty Movie Vs Book

In The Book Freak The Mighty And The Mighty there are significant differences. The significant differences I saw was in the characters. The three main characters I saw were was Maxwell, Freak, And “Killer Kane” A.K.A Kenny Kane., And I will point out the changes from the book and the movie. Maxwell is the main character we see in the book the movie. The significant changes I saw was the color of his skin, His attitude, And his strength. The reason I said the color of his skin was a considerable skin was because in the book it says “And People would say “Why their a white walrus with sunglasses?” so I expected in the movie he’d be a little bit pale, but he was about the skin color of a regular person. When Maxwell started having more problems I thought it would be like the book but he never got …show more content…
With his stature in the book I thought he would easily be “7,3” in height but yet in the movie, he seemed only to be “6,5, ” and that bothered me because I was hoping he’d look that way. His Ferocity (the state or quality of being ferocious) was not as high up in the movie as it was in the book because in the book he is showing that he was the “alpha” among other people but yet in the book he’s just a person who murdered someone and only feared by the people who do bad stuff. His tone makes a huge difference in my opinion with the book and movie because in the book I always had a feeling he had a really deep voice but in the movie, we get a southerner that had an accent with a little bit of a high pitched voice and it again somewhat bothered me. Well, what I tried to tell you that there are more comparisons that I could’ve done, but these are the ones that stood the most out to me so I feel like I should share them with you so I could see what you thought about them.Well, I wrapped up Maxwell, Freak, And Kenny Kane for

In the book, “Freak the Mighty”, Kevin (Freak) and Maxwell (mighty) are completely different from each other both mentally and physically, yet they become great friends throughout the story. Many books have been made into movies, and people tend to notice that the movies do not highlight certain details that the books do. In A Separate Peace, there were many differences between the book in the movie, like Gene’s visit to Devon, the character relationships, and the different perspective of the movie. Gene’s visit to Devon 15 years later is the first scene of the book. The movie started at the start of his summer session. Missing this scene of the book made it lose the feeling that Gene forgave himself for Finny’s death.…

First of all is the scene where the rumble takes place, this was a very important part of the two of them. The first comparable scene is when ( the greasers went to the rumble. ) In both the book and movie they did really well on showing the emotions of characters. I would say that the similarity is with how they described how everyone felt was great in both. There are also differences too.…

    Amity Movie Vs Book

The book delves into the residents of Amity in more depth than the film, but none of it is very interesting. Amity is a small town of about a thousand year-round residents, with the population increasing to around ten thousand during the summer. The year-round residents depend on the summer crowds to sustain them through the rest of the year, so when the pesky shark starts dining on tourists and Sheriff Brody is forced to close the beaches, it could spell doom for the town. The book does a good job setting this up, but adds two hugely unnecessary subplots, one simply boring and the other horrendously offensive on just about every level. We’ll start with the boring one.…

One of the first differences that the audience see is in the very beginning of the novel where Gene is mentioned as revisiting Devon 15 years later and he says that he wants to visit two places, the tree and the marble stairs. Gene says “ I reached a marble foyer and stopped at the foot of a long white marble flight of stairs”(11) and further when he reaches toward the tree he says “This was the tree, and it seemed to me standing there to resemble those men, the giants of your childhood, whom you encounter years later and find that they are absolutely smaller, shrunken by age. In this double demotion the old giants have become pigmies while you were looking the other way.”(14). This is a very interesting scene as it gets the readers attention by foreshadowing early in the story but this wasn’t in the movie at all which may be because of the director of the movie was trying not to open the suspense of the movie. Also the novel was told in first person as Gene and whereas the movie was shown in third person, which actually did not bring up what was going in Gene’s head, which could have made the movie more captivating.…

Another big similarity in conflict is the protagonists in both stories have a disadvantage. Kane is all by himself going up against Frank Miller and his gang, which is 3 guys. He is also disliked by many people in the town, while Frank is extremely popular and well liked by most of the townspeople. This obviously shows who most people are rooting for in this showdown! Ironically, Rainsford also has a disadvantage, because while General Zaroff knows where all the traps and hiding spaces are, it is all new to Rainsford.…

I think that The Mighty and Freak The Mighty had some differences but they also had some similarities. One of the similarities was that they both had the same characters, and one of the differences was that not all of the scenes were shown in the movie that was in the book. Also, there are some differences about how reading it than watching it like when you read the book it's a little bit more detailed and when you watch the movie they take out a lot of parts that are in the book. I'm going to talk about the scenes, in the movie it showed that Freak wanted to do gym and then the principal did not let Freak do gym but his mother convinced the principal to let Freak join the gym. That scene was not in the book and there were other scenes that…

In “The Landlady”, Billy Weaver is lured into a seemingly normal bed and breakfast by an old lady who, despite her gentle and unthreatening appearance, wants to kill him. It is a story about how those with cruel intent may take advantage of those who are innocent and naive. Although the book and the movie can be arguably similar if generalized, there are many differences that may change the way a reader/viewer may grasp the concept of the story. Since a movie and book cannot be exactly the same, the film version is bound to have things that differ from the text. One example of how the book develops the development of the story is with the setting.…

Movies have always had a way of bringing to life the written word. When a modern movie tries to portray the thoughts of long age, sometimes the perceptions of the modern world infiltrate the storyline. These perceptions can be seen when analyzing the movie versus the book of Solomon Northup’s 12 Years A Slave. Director Steve McQueen and screenwriter John Ridley were able to infuse the essence of Northup’s book, while also adding the views from now with regard to slavery.…
