Frank's Cave Analysis

Frank’s Cave & The Wonders of Magic When I pulled up to Frank’s Cave I could see that it was a place for nerdy people. There was some art of popular characters painted on the building. Although the art looked unfinished, I could tell that the artist had talent, and I hope that one day I can see the art finished. As I went inside I had imagined that I would get the smell of dust, I was shocked when I had went inside to not pick up any immediate scents. It smelt like there was no difference between the air outside, although this could be due to my bad sense of smell from my broken nose. However, when I went to one corner of the building I was hit with the scent of coffee. I was confused at first, but then I looked to my right and found a coffee …show more content…
“I had started out in real estate, but after a while I figured that that was a very risk reward business that did not really suit me. I had tried to make an art business but, in knoxville that did not really work out very well.” At that point I had realized all of the art I had seen must have been his. I felt kinda bad about the failed art business, but Frank did not seem to mind it at all. Rather than worry about what did not work well he just adapted to the situation. He was a collector for a long time and would just buy random items for his collection. After a while though he decided that it was not worth holding onto all of the stuff when he never showed it off. He just kept it hidden in his garage. He decided to start selling stuff from his collection. “Has there ever been anything that you had trouble parting with?” I asked Frank. He thought on the question for a while, probably just trying to think of everything he had sold, “No,” he said,”after you see something more than once you do not really find it all that …show more content…
However in doing so I made a large mistake. The cards that I had bought were meant to be bought by people who already had a main setup, so when I opened up all of my packs I had none of the basic cards that you need in order to play. At the time I did not know that you needed any different packs to play, but Frank was nice and lended me his pack so that I could play with the guys in the back. He told one of the guys back there to help tutor me, and they did.

The game was confusing at first, but after the first couple of turns and learning what certain card 's abilities do it was very fun. Thanks to the man’s help, and some luck, I managed to win the match. After that I gave Frank his cards back and got ready to leave, but Frank asked me if I had wanted some help with setting up my own deck of cards. Frank was really nice and gave me some of his own cards in order to help me get started. Frank’s Cave is a very cool and unique store. It is even more than a store, it is where nerdy people can go and connect with other nerdy people. It certainly is not for everyone, but the kindness that the store has to offer made me feel like I could easily fit in

Jessica Martinkosky V100 Weyers Cave, VA 24486 Dear Ms. Martinkosky, I am writing to introduce you to the work of Marilyn Levine. She is a ceramics artist that specializes in making clay appear as leather. Unfortunately she is deceased however; she has dedicated her career to making hyper realistic renderings of leather objects that are entirely made from clay. Although many artists refine, vary or shift styles throughout their careers, Levine stuck to the realistic sculpture she devised 35 years ago as a graduate student at UC Berkeley. A viewer of one of her shows described her as the following "In a lesser artist, this apparent lack of development would be interpreted as a severe limitation.…

Indiana Caverns/Corydon Expedition Corydon, Indiana Friday, August 7, 2015- Indiana Caverns is an amazing place to go. You start by watching a five to ten minute video about how normal caverns/caves are created, how the Binkley Cave System was founded, and how Indiana Caverns was ingrained. Before you go on the tour with Andrew, early to late twenties, who had dark hair, very enthusiastic with people, as well as being very polite, and lets kids hold his flashlight in the cave, you get your picture taken. You then start your amazing trek through the cave. You walk thirty minutes in a cave that normally stays around fifty-five degrees Fahrenheit year-round.…

Most people are trapped into their own inexperience, and perhaps bitter to anyone who points it out. With the cave fable Plato argues that people are too stubborn with a moral story in themselves. The shadows in the real world are flawed reflections of ideal forms such as, roundness or beauty. The cave leads to many essentials including the roots of knowledge, the problem of representation, and the nature of reality itself. For one the ideal form exists in the mind of the creator and for another the theory illustrates the categorizing of factual things under philosophical terms, and for others some of us still wonder if we can really know if things outside the cave are anymore or real than the shadows.…

Student name Student number Heroic Attributes of Odysseus. Book 9 of the Odyssey “In the One-Eyed Giant’s Cave” provides better understanding of the character of Odyssey, his emotions, cunning and the features of character. Heroism during the times of Homer certainly differs from the modern definition of the word, as it focuses more on the ability to outwit others, capture new lands and resources and exploit every opportunity that presents itself. Portrayed by Homer as a clever and resourceful man, Odyssey was a true Greek hero, who, nevertheless, was not free from imperfections such as excessive pride (hubris). The essay explores the way Homer portrays Odyssey and his adventures on the island of Cyclopes.…

I thought about my one card not working, or dropping my laundry all over the floor and was so afraid that I was going to embarrass myself in front of everyone in the laundry room. As I approached the laundry room it was silence and my heart was pounding as I opened the door. Gladly, no one was in the laundry room to witness my embarrassment. I quickly ran to the first washing machine that looked free and shoved my clothes inside. I walked over to the one card swipe and prayed that my mother had actually put retail points onto my card.…
