The Food Guide Pyramid has only a certain amount of servings that the average person should eat every day. While My plate servings depend on the age, sex, and level of physical activity. My opinion on the Food Guide Pyramid is that it doesn’t put enough thought into average person’s sex, age, and their physical activity. Cause the amount could be different for each person. Then the My plate recommendations have servings for different ages, sex, and what their physical activity would be.
My lifestyle and emotional state affects my consumption greatly. I am very emotional and so at times I would binge eat, because of how I felt about my body. That I didn’t look good, because of my weight. Seeing that I don’t exercise much makes me feel even more unhealthy. Most of the time I don’t catch myself binge eating, but the people around me do. Though I try my best to eat healthier and to go outside

Based on the comparison data that has been compiled from my 3-day food diary on Eatracker, running from March 13th to March 15th, each day I basically ate meals that consisted of the same food with small substitutions between the 3 days. For instance, for breakfast I would have my lemon water and omelet everyday and dinner I would usually have chicken with a side dish that could vary from roasted potatoes, Caesar salad or brown rice and for. Now since most of meals for each day consisted of the same food, any of the 3 days could best represent my typical eating pattern. The day that I chose to analyze was the second day, March 14th 2016. To begin, by examining my nutrient intake based on my food intake for March 14th, the nutrients that…

On September 17 and 18 I recorded the various foods I consumed, during which I found out a lot about my eating habits. Though I could claim that these two days weren’t my healthiest of days, I still found patterns that I can identify as fairly consistent. Beginning with the optimistic side of things, I only overate the recommended intake of sugar by one gram on the first day of the analysis. Along the same lines, I had room to eat more sodium by the end of the first day. I made fairly good snack choices, aside from dessert, with such foods as peanut butter and fat-free pretzels.…

Due to this, I realized that I should reduce to amount of foods that contain high fat, protein, and carbohydrates, but I should still need to consume the food like vegetables, fruit, and others. The Nutrient Report showed me a graph that really helped me because I was able to view my intake over a 3-day period. I noticed I was over and under during the week. I feel that’s because I’m so busy with school and work that I don’t realize what I need to be eating. On Saturday, the graph seemed to show the recommended daily allowance for each food group. On the weekend I’m more focused on my food intake than I am during the busy week.…
