Specific Lesson Objective
(shows progress and/or expansion of learning across lessons within the segment) The focus learner, when given 10 geometric problems relating to the translation of circles will solve with 65 % accuracy, using two supports, by the end of the lesson.
Assessment Tools and Data Collection Procedures
Ongoing Assessment of Learning Goal The focus learner will be assessed during this lesson through direct observation, responses to direct questions, show of thumbs up for understanding and thumbs down for not understanding, and completion of a lesson objective related worksheet. In addition, ongoing assessment of the learning goal will be ascertained through questions asked by the focus learner.
Ongoing Assessment of Communication Skill The communication skill will be evaluated throughout the lesson. The focus learner will be required to explain through written expression how the entire circle translates or slide in one direction. The focus learner will be assessed on his ability to demonstrate understanding through solving problems and explaining steps on the smart-board and completing assessment
