This experiment demonstrated three different conditions in which participants assembled Stack Cups 3x3x3 in a specific left to right formation. Each condition had a different cognitive task, Condition 1: focused attention, Condition 2: response dual task, and Condition 3: cognitive dual task. Condition one, involved strictly focusing on completion of the trials, had the fastest mean of 5.36 seconds. Condition two, responding to broad questions during the trial, had the slowest mean of 5.48 seconds. Finally condition three, listening to a sequence of random numbers during the trial and responding at completion of trial, resulted in a mean of 5.47 seconds. Once the program was ready on the home screen, participants set the parameters. The parameters were: duration time- ten-seconds, cursor type- your choice, and line altitude- vertical. Following the measurements displayed in Table 2, set Movement Amplitude and Target Width corresponding to each trial. The participant then utilized the Fitts’ Tapping Test Software with a computer mouse (Figure 1). There were two conditions that the participants performed: condition one, consisted of using the dominant hand of the participant and condition two, using the non-dominate hand. The participant then performed five trials of each condition adjusting movement amplitudes and target widths to correspond with the ID levels. The goal of the experiment was clicking each target area as fast as possible in the ten-second duration. After each condition, the participant recorded the number of taps that were successfully completed during the set amount of time (Table 3 and Table 4).
