The book Finding Mr. Brightside by Jay Clark is about two people who struggle with their own family issues and addictions to medications. They find themselves drawn to each other. When young Abram and Juliette are both there to pick up their medications, they come into contact and have an instant connection. This is not their first meeting though; they first met when they were little kids. They played together and everything, it was until a great accident, that occurred, was the ending of their hang outs. When Juliette’s mother and Abram’s father were both killed in a tragic car accident, together, it not only wrecked two families but a friendship as well. High school seniors and neighbors Abram Morgan and Juliette Flynn have each been hiding in their own ways since his father and her mother died in a car accident while having a secret affair. One year after the accident occurred; in a local Pharmacy they find themselves in the same situation at a pharmacy called CVS. Juliette and Abram are both struggling with addictions, Juliette with Adderall and Abram with Paxil. Abram is very observant and seems to know when there is something wrong with Juliette, like when she has a headache and he knows it immediately, I find this both sweet and romantic. Then when Heidi tries to get Juliette to dance she tries not to, but when Abram grabs hold of her, she doesn’t mind. Then she asks to go on a vacation with Abram; which shocks him immensely. Abram suggests a beach house of his out to South Carolina. They decide to go instantly.
